A massive convoy of trucks driven by Russian truckers protesting against the introduction of tolls on “Plato” federal highways has reached Moscow, as the authorities deployed the military to stop the advance of the convoy into Moscow center.
The protesters are reported to have blocked the MKAD highway in Moscow with their trucks Friday afternoon, one of them vowing to burn his truck right on Red Square in case their demands are not met, according to Gazeta.ru.
As a result, a huge traffic jam has formed in northern Moscow, near the Leningrad highway.

The troops have been deployed in the area blocked by trucks.
The rally has not been agreed with city authorities.
