The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Oscar Austin (DDG 79) passed the straits and entered the Black Sea on May 5, according to the Odesa-based Dumskaya newspaper.
Oscar Austin is to conduct maritime operations to support NATO allies in Eastern Europe within the framework of Operation Atlantic Resolve, according to U.S. 6th Fleet press center, Dumskaya newspaper reports.
