U.S. President Donald J. Trump on June 7 spoke by phone with Amir Sheikh Tameem bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar, offering to help the parties to the diplomatic conflict in the Gulf region resolve their differences, the White House press service reports.
Donald Trump said one of the ways to help settle the conflict was to hold “a meeting at the White House if necessary,” the White House said.
The president emphasized the importance of all countries in the region working together to prevent the financing of terrorist organizations and stop the promotion of extremist ideology.
