Lviv International Airport named after Danylo Halytsky is in talks with Qatar Airways on the launch of flights and expects a visit of the airline's representatives late in February.
"We are in talks with Asian countries. I really want to see [the launch of] flights to Asia. We are negotiating with Qatar Airways. We are expecting a visit by representatives of this airline at the end of February. They will evaluate our airport," Director General of Lviv Airport Tetiana Romanovska said at a meeting at Ukraine's Infrastructure Ministry, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

As UNIAN reported, Lviv Airport in 2018 increased passenger traffic by 48%, to 1.6 million people.
UNIAN memo. Lviv International Airport is the largest airport in western Ukraine in terms of passenger traffic and routes. In 2011, the airport was renovated. As part of its renovation, a new terminal with a total area of 48,000 square meters was built. Its runway was repaired.
