The country's economy is more dependent on internal factors.
Asked how the spread of the coronavirus influences the global economy and the Ukrainian one, in particular, Ukrainian expert in economics Yevhen Nevmerzhytskyy has said such global events do not significantly affect the Ukrainian economy.

"It is unlikely that this [coronavirus] will affect Ukraine, and the reason is general. This will happen because other international developments have virtually no impact on the Ukrainian economy. Our economy is not very integrated into the global one, as it is developing more under the influence of internal factors," he said in a comment for the Ukrainian online news outlet Obozrevatel on January 28.
"All that inforage and hype will last no longer than two weeks. The subject will become less relevant, and attention to the issue and fears will also decrease. This will happen because of the nature of that virus," he added.
