Chairman of the provisional commission of Russia's Federation Council for information policy Aleksey Pushkov has called U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine negotiations Kurt Volker "U.S. Special Representative for Minsk agreements breakdown" after the U.S. envoy stressed the need to scrap the two Russian-backed self-proclaimed republics in Donbas, the "Donetsk People's Republic" ("DPR") and the "Luhansk People's Republic" ("LPR").

Volker announced on March 3 that the formations of the occupation forces – the "DPR" and the "LPR," created by Russia in the Donbas region – should be liquidated, as they are not in line with the Constitution of Ukraine.
