"The visit was aimed at getting detailed information about the situation on the contact line, assessing possible threats facing the Ukrainian military and civilians in Donetsk and Luhansk regions," the press center of Ukraine's JFO wrote on Facebook on June 12.

NSDC members heard a report from Commander of the Joint Forces Lieutenant-General Oleksandr Syrskiy regarding the overall situation.

Afterwards, the NSDC working group visited the advanced positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the town of Avdiyivka. They also went to areas near the Sea of Azov, where they studied the state of affairs in military units performing combat missions on the contact line.

The officials also examined problematic issues in the work of a local entry and exit checkpoint.
