Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is convinced that gaining majority in the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's Parliament, will allow leaving behind the long-standing policy of compromise.

"The majority in the Verkhovna Rada allows us to stop this tradition of striking deals, the tradition of political under-the-table bargains,' selling positions, swapping offices. Therefore, we want to really get a lot of votes and a high popular support rating to curb this need to have to agree on anything with anyone," Zelensky said in an interview posted by the President's Office on Facebook.
