The Constitutional Court of Ukraine will officially announce on Friday, July 31, its resolution signed on July 30 into the request by the Verkhovna Rada regarding the compliance of draft Constitutional amendments regarding the decentralization of power with the provisions of Articles 157 and 158 of the Basic Law, the Constitutional Court press service has told UNIAN.
It is expected to be announced at 12:00 Kyiv time, according to the statement.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the Verkhovna Rada forwarded the draft amendments on decentralization of power to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on July 16, in order to obtain a resolution regarding their compliance with Articles 157 and 158 of the Constitution. 288 out of 374 registered lawmakers voted for this move.
Consideration of draft amendments on decentralization by Ukraine’s Constitutional Court started on July 27.
