Tusk wants sanctions against Russia to be considered as early as Friday

President of the European Commission Donald Tusk has called for the heads of states and governments of the EU member states to include the issue of prolongation of sanctions against Russia in the agenda of the meeting of the Committee of Permanent Representatives (COREPER) to be held on Dec. 17-18 in Brussels, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

“Finally, let me also take this opportunity to inform you that I have asked the Presidency to put on the agenda of COREPER this coming Friday the proposal to roll over sanctions on Russia for another six months,” Tusk wrote in an invitation letter.
