Prosecutors go after "Putin’s friend" for visiting occupied Crimea

The prosecutor's office has launched criminal proceedings into the fact of the visit of the Polish MEP Janusz Korwin Mikke to the Russian-occupied Crimea, that’s according to the response by the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to the request by MP Heorhiy Lohvinsky, the Europeiska Pravda online newspaper reported.

"The Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomy initiated on December 11, 2015 criminal proceedings under Part 1 Art.332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine," the prosecutor's office reported.

In particular, a violation is being investigated of rules of entry into the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and exiting from it aimed at undermining the interests of the Ukrainian state.
