Turchynov, Grant discuss transition of Ukraine to NATO standards

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov held a meeting with NATO Deputy Secretary General Kamil Grant to discuss cooperation with NATO member countries in the military-technical sphere and cyber security, as well as the transition to NATO standards of Ukraine's security and defense sector, in particular, its military and industrial complex.

They also discussed Russia's hybrid aggression against Ukraine.

Turchynov stressed that only powerful weapons and a strong army could stop Russia's aggression.

Grant, in turn, noted that the Alliance does not neglect the topic of the annexation of Crimea by Russia and events in eastern Ukraine. NATO demonstrates unity with regard to Russia's actions, which are extremely dangerous for the world order.

NATO considers Ukraine one of the most important partners and it is very optimistic about the prospects for our cooperation, Grant said.
