In last minute call, Saakashvili says to use Intercity train "to avoid provocations" on border

Former Georgian president and ex-governor of Odesa region Mikheil Saakashvili told journalists in Przemysl that he has changed plans to return to Ukraine by bus via the Krakivets checkpoint at Polish-Ukrainian border, opting for a ride in an Interciti train traveling from Przemysl to Kyiv via Lviv.

"To avoid provocations, we held consultations and decided that we can go by Intercity [train] now," Saakashvili said.

The former Georgian president has also invited journalists to travel along with him.

The trip is currently being organized.

The train’s first stop is in Lviv, at 16:02.
