SBU reveals, arrests mole in own ranks
The court ruled to remand the suspect in custody.
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) revealed in its ranks a foreign intelligence agent, the agency chief, Vasyl Hrytsak, told journalists August 22.
The turncoat was arrested on August 18, the report says, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
"We identified in our ranks, so to speak, a 'mole.' This 'mole' was probed, detained, and documented. The measure of restraint was chosen in the form of remain in custody," Hrytsak said, adding that the SBU operative in question was arrested on August 18.

"We have a lot of cases, unfortunately, where we're working to vet both SBU operatives and other Ukrainian nationals working or serving in various institutions or military for their possible involvement in the operations of the Russian intelligence," said Hrytsak.
The SBU chief provided no further details on the case.
