Trukhanov scored 47.6% of votes at Odesa mayoral elections / A Savik Shuster Studio exit poll screenshot
Incumbent Odesa mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov, a nominee by the Doviryai Dilam, or Trust in Actions Party (the former Rural Ukraine Party), is in the lead at the mayoral election in Odesa, having scored 47.6% of votes on October 25, according to the returns of the exit poll conducted by the Savik Shuster Studio.
Poroshenko Party Bloc "Solidarnist" representative and former adviser to the economy minister, Sasha Borovik ranks second with 30.8%, former Odesa mayor Eduard Hurvits is third with 9.6%, MP Serhiy Kivalov, who is a nominee by the Ukrainian Maritime Party of Serhiy Kivalov, is fourth with 3.7%. Kivalov is a former member of the Regions Party that supported the ousted former Ukrainian president, Viktor Yanukovych.
Svitlana Fabrykant, a journalist, former MP and head of the Odesa regional headquarters of Serhiy Tigipko's Strong Ukraine party, occupied the fifth place with 2.8%.
According to the exit polls, Trukhanov and Borovik will compete in the second round of the mayoral elections, which is to take place on November 15.
