Ukraine's grain exports will decline for the first time in five years in the current marketing year, a senior government official said on Friday, citing the latest official forecast, according to Xinhua.
Ukrainian agribusinesses had exported 15.95 million tonnes of grain since the start of the 2017-2018 marketing year (MY, July 2017 – June 2018) as of November 22, according to the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry's press service.
The State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine (SFGCU) and its strategic partner, China National Complete Engineering Corporation (CCEC), have agreed to increase grain supplies to China, though no details have been disclosed, according to the SFGCU's press service referring to Acting Chairman of the SFGCU Board Dmytro Gavrysh.
Ukraine's agricultural companies in 2016-2017 marketing year (MG, July 2016 - June 2017) exported 43.8 million tonnes of grains, topping an all-time record for the independent Ukraine, the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reported citing preliminary data.
