Spokesman for the Defense Ministry Dmytro Hutsuliak has said a Ukrainian serviceman, born in 1978, was killed on Tuesday morning as a result of hostilities in Donbas.

"At about 08:00 on July 17, Russia's armed aggression took the life of another Ukrainian hero. One of our servicemen, born in 1978, was killed," he said at a briefing on July 17.
The ministry expressed condolences to the family and friends of the Ukrainian defender.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Russia's hybrid military forces mounted 19 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas in the past 24 hours, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as wounded in action. According to intelligence reports, two occupiers were wounded.
