Contact Group agrees on "harvest ceasefire" in war-torn Donbas

The Tripartite Contact Group in Minsk has supported the appeals of local councils in the eastern Ukraine on the need to observe the ceasefire during the time of harvesting starting from June 24, Darka Olifer, the press-secretary of Ukraine's envoy to the Contact Group on Donbas settlement and former president of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma wrote on Facebook.

"The Tripartite Contact Group has supported the appeals of the local councils on the beginning of the so-called 'harvest ceasefire,' namely the observance of the truce at the time of harvesting from June 24, 2017," Olifer wrote.

At the same time, she noted that Ukraine's position at the talks in Minsk remained unchanged.
