Yandex CEO says mulls complete withdrawal from Ukraine

Yandex intends to limit or completely abandon its business in Ukraine, that’s according the company CEO, Alexander Shulgin, who spoke with the Russian NTV.

"The Ukrainian government has introduced a series of sanctions targeting our company, and not only our company but also a number of other Russian IT companies, which makes our activities in the country impossible," said Shulgin.

"It’s hard to say what it will lead to. Most likely, our economic engagement in business in Ukraine will be reduced or zeroed," the CEO added.

On May 29, the SBU conducted authorized searches in the offices of the Russian Yandex’s subsidiary structure in Kyiv and Odesa.
