Ukraine's balance of payments showed a surplus of US$1.919 billion in January-September 2017, which was almost twice the amount of surplus recorded at $976 million year-over-year (y-o-y), according to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
The International Monetary Fund forecasts a current account deficit of Ukraine's balance of payments in 2017 at 3.3% of GDP, according to the October World Economic Outlook published on the Fund’s website.
Ukraine's balance of payments in January-August 2017 was reduced to a surplus of $1.282 billion, which is 2.4 times higher than the surplus for the same period last year at $533 million, the National Bank of Ukraine reported on its website.
