Ukraine has completely stopped electricity supplies to the areas of Donetsk region, temporarily occupied by Russian terrorist forces, as reported by Vsevolod Kovalchuk, CEO of the country’s united energy grid Ukrenergo.
Supplies of Russian electricity to the militant-occupied areas of Luhansk region will be considered as technological losses of the Russian Federal Grid Company (FGC), which may lead to the increase in tariffs and overpay by Russian consumers totaling RUB 2-4.6 bln ($ 35-81 million) per year, Kommersant reports with reference to a source in the Russian energy ministry and two other sources in the industry.
Russia and the militants are responsible for the termination of Ukraine's power supplies to certain areas of Luhansk region, the Ministry for temporarily occupied territory and internally displaced people said.
Russian government has decided to provide the militant-occupied part of Luhansk region with uninterrupted electricity supplies, according to the Russian envoy to the trilateral contact group for the Donbas settlement, Boris Gryzlov, RIA Novosti reports.
The issue of termination of electricity supplies to the occupied parts of Donetsk region (ORDO) is being considered now, but it is not as urgent as in the occupied areas of Luhansk region (ORLO), Deputy Minister for the Occupied Territories and IDPs George Tuka told 112 Ukraine TV channel.

Lugansk Energy Association (LEA) plans to shut down power supplies to the occupied part of Luhansk region starting April 25, LEA CEO Volodymyr Gritsai told Luhansk regional TV channel, according to Liga.net.
