Prosecutor General Lutsenko declares over US$15,000 in annual salary in 2016

Ukraine's Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko received UAH 413,296, or about US$15,300, in annual salary in 2016, according to his 2016 e-declaration, published on the website of the state register of assets declarations.

This amount includes UAH 362,204, or $13,405, as his salary paid by the Prosecutor General's Office and UAH 51,092, or about $1,890, as salary at the Verkhovna Rada. In addition, he received UAH 86,936, or about $3,220, as business trip refunds at the Prosecutor General's Office, and UAH 5,380, or about $200, as business trip refunds at the Verkhovna Rada. What is more he was paid UAH 37,216, or about $1,380, as reimbursement of expenses related to a Rada member's work, his e-declaration says.

His wife Iryna Lutsenko, MP from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc's parliamentary faction, received UAH 146,581, or $5,425, as salary at the Verkhovna Rada; UAH 169,871, or about $6,290, as reimbursement of expenses related to a Rada member's work; and UAH 26,136, or about $970, as reimbursement for transportation. She also obtained UAH 79,600, or nearly $2,945, as refunds for a business trip abroad. In addition, she got worth UAH 3,787, or $140, as bonuses from the Automobile House Ukraine-Merc company. She also declared UAH 569,387, or nearly $27,070, as income from property rental.

Moreover, the spouses declared a gift worth UAH 132,585, or about $4,910, in a non-monetary form from their son Oleksandr Lutsenko. Iryna also received another gift from the son, which was estimated at UAH 97,000, or nearly $3,600.

However, in his free use were a residential house with an area of 859 square meters, a plot of land of 2,475 square meters, an 80-square-meter garage in the village of Stoyanka in Kyiv region's Kyiv-Svyatoshynsky district.

The Prosecutor General's wife owns flats in Kyiv with an area of 181 square meters and 92.2 square meters, respectively. She is also the owner of a house with an area of 203.9 square meters and a land plot of 775 square meters in the town of Dubno (Rivne region).

Also, Iryna Lutsenko owns a 2014 Mercedes-Benz GL 500, and a 2010 Toyota Land Cruiser, which is reported to have been hijacked.

The General Prosecutor's Office also provided an official car to Yuriy Lutsenko; it is a 2013 Toyota Camry.

Lutsenko's wife owns a collection of paintings of contemporary Ukrainian artists of 2006-2011, as well as Dior and Chanel bags, a Breguet watch, as well as several jewelry sets of precious metal and stones.

The Prosecutor General keeps in his bank accounts UAH 796,950, EUR1 (one), and $4,723, while his wife has over UAH 842,200 at Ukreximbank and UAH 1.6 million at Stolychnyi Bank, as well as EUR 1,131 and $1,983 in her other bank accounts. The spouses also keep UAH 325,000, $300,000, and EUR 60,000 in cash.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Lutsenko declared UAH 76,405, or about $2,830, in revenue in 2015.
