Israel has formally notified UNESCO that it will withdraw from the UN cultural and education body, according to Deutsche Welle.
The United Nations' cultural agency selected former French culture minister Audrey Azoulay as its new chief on Friday, handing her the keys to revive UNESCO's fortunes after the United States pulled out, according to Reuters.
The Russian-controlled Committee for State Registration and Cadastre of Crimea has registered ownership of 32 real estate objects of the Khan's Palace in Bakhchisaray in the occupied peninsula, according to RIA Krym, referring to the committee's press service.
