National oil and gas holding Naftogaz of Ukraine expects that, following the decisions of the Stockholm Arbitration Chamber on the two contracts (for the purchase and transit of gas), the company will be able to net penalties with its opponent, the Russian gas monopoly Gazprom, that’s according to Naftogaz CEO Andriy Kobolyev.
Ukraine’s national oil and gas holding Naftogaz of Ukraine and Russia’s gas monopoly Gazprom are soon to launch negotiations on the implementation of decisions taken by the Stockholm Arbitration within the framework of the contract for the purchase of Russian gas, according to Yuriy Vitrenko, a chief commercial officer at Naftogaz, an UNIAN correspondent reports.
Deputy Board Chair at Gazprom PJSC, Alexander Medvedev, says that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko could have been misinformed on the decision by the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce on the dispute between Russia's gas monopoly Gazprom and Naftogaz of Ukraine, claiming that it has in fact been handed down in Russia's favor.
