The number of the unemployed in Ukraine calculated by the methodology of the International Labor Organization (ILO) for persons aged 15 to 70 decreased to 1.6 million people (8.9%) in the third quarter of 2017 (Q3) from 1.77 million people (9.9%) in 2016, according to the Ukrainian State Statistics Service.
The number of the unemployed in Ukraine increased by 9.6%, or by 27,100 people, in November 2017 from October 2017, to 309,000 people, according to the Ukrainian State Statistics Service.
The maximum unemployment benefit amount in Ukraine has grown by 5%, to UAH 7,048, or US$261, due to an increase in the minimum living wage as of December 1, according to the Ukrainian State Employment Service.
