Vitaliy Shabunin, the founder of the U.S.-funded Anti-Corruption Action Center, whose work is critical to unlocking billions of dollars of aid for Ukraine’s cash-strapped government, according to Bloomberg.
Dniprovsky District Court of Kyiv elected a preventive measure against Vitaly Shabunin, chairman of the board of the Anti-Corruption Action Center, in the form of a personal recognizance for a period of two months, an UNIAN corresponding reported from a Wednesday hearing of Shabunin’s case.
Law-enforcement officials have served Anti-Corruption Action Center head Vitaliy Shabunin a notice of suspicion for premeditated assault, the press service of the National Police of Ukraine has told the Kyiv-based Interfax-Ukraine news agency, Kyiv Post reported.
