Bellingcat, an international OSINT community, considers a new photo of Buk missile, published by the Joint Investigative Team (JIT) on Thursday, October 19, a proof that Boeing, carrying the flight MH17, was shot down by the Russian anti-aircraft missile system, the DW's Ukrainian service reported.
The Bellingcat Joint Investigation Team (JIT), the Dutch-led criminal investigation into the downing of Malaysian Airlines Flight 17 (MH17) over Ukraine, has published a new photo of the Russian Buk missile launcher that downed plane from the day of the tragedy, according to Bellingcat Twitter.
On July 17, Bellingcat's team of investigative journalists has released report summarizing all major open source evidence surrounding the downing of MH17 in an easy-to-read 73-page survey.
In a continued investigation to reveal those involved in the downing of a Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 on July 17, 2017, Bellingcat sifted through a bulk of open data sources to collect information on possible drivers of a convoy that brought to Ukraine a deadly Buk missile launcher that eventually shot down a passenger jet.
The investigative website Bellingcat.com, which uses open sources and social networks to collect evidence related to the downing of flight MH17 in Donbas in July 2014, has announced it was able to find the "missing link" photograph to identify the Russian Buk missile launcher that shot down the Malaysia Airlines' Boeing. The picture shows white transport markings on Buk 332 apparently from before a June 2014 convoy that traveled from near the missile launcher's base in Kursk to Millerovo, near the Russia-Ukraine border.
