The European Union on Thursday formally approved its earlier decision to extend for another six months economic sanctions against Russia over Moscow’s aggression toward Ukraine, according to an UNIAN correspondent in Brussels.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Thursday, December 7, extended until 2019 the moratorium, which has been in force since 2001, on trading in farmland, an UNIAN correspondent reported.
The European Council has extended the mandate of the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM) in Ukraine until May 31, 2019 and approved a budget of EUR 32 million for the next 18 months, according to an UNIAN correspondent in Brussels.
