Ukraine has pledged not to close Romanian language schools under a new education law that has caused alarm in Romania, Russia and Hungary, Romania's foreign minister said Friday, according to the Daily Mail.
The Russian-backed self-proclaimed authorities of the "Donetsk People's Republic" ("DPR") have announced a complete transition from the Ukrainian language into Russian language in all educational institutions located in the militant-controlled areas of Donetsk region, "DPR leader" Alexander Zakharchenko said, according to one of the pro-militant online resources.
