"I think we need to say – and the public is expecting it – that the assets of Yanukovych will not only be seized or confiscated but also returned to the budget," said Jaresko.

She stressed that this could be a one-time tranche.

According to Jaresko, this one-time transaction would be very important to reduce Ukraine’s budget deficit.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Switzerland plans to pass legislation before the end of 2015 that would speed up the return of assets which were illegally transferred by former leaders of different states.
