Ukraine and Russia, with the mediation of the US, have not yet reached a common vision of the possibility of creating a free economic zone in Donbas.
According to a UNIAN correspondent, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during a conversation with journalists. "I don't know if this can be implemented, because when we talked about a free economic zone, we had different views on it. Even if we do create a free economic zone, we will need fair and reliable rules. I mean the same rules for both sides, the same proposals for both sides," Zelenskyy said.
At the same time, even if such a free economic zone is implemented in Donbas, Ukraine will never recognize it as Russian.
"This is our land. We do not recognize it as Russian, even if it is a free economic zone. Our land, if it is a free economic zone, is our people, our flag, and our control. How to control it is up to us. We do not need to share what we will do there if it is our control and our territory. That's all," the president explained.
At the moment, Ukraine and its allies are actively working on documents from the Prosperity Package.
"Most likely, it will be a trilateral package between Europe, the US, and Ukraine. One document that will include Europe, the US, and Ukraine. All three of us will sign it," Zelenskyy said.
At the same time, there is a possibility that separate documents will be signed between the US and Russia.
"We do not know all of their bilateral economic or business agreements, but we are receiving some information about them. For example, intelligence showed me the so-called "Dmitriev package," which he presented in the US, worth about $12 trillion. It is a kind of economic cooperation package between America and Russia," said the head of state.
Without the involvement of the Ukrainian side, the agreements will have no force on Ukrainian territory:

The Ukrainian president revealed more details about the trilateral meeting between delegations from Ukraine, the US, and Russia in Abu Dhabi, which took place on February 4-5. He said that the US is proposing that Ukraine and Russia end the war by this summer.
At the same time, Russia is seeking US recognition of the occupied Crimea as Russian, the head of state noted.
