"We will proceed with a large-scale decentralization of funds. It means that regional budgets will have funds next year. We will advocate for this," the prime minister told reporters in Vinnytsia on Saturday, September 3.
Groysman added that some Ukrainian politicians were saying that it is "necessary to consolidate more funds in the center, in Kyiv."
"I am strongly opposed to the idea," the prime minister said.
"Cities, villages, towns, districts, and regions should receive funds directly – not from parliamentary committees, not from the ministries, but directly: the hryvnia earned from the budget should be distributed at once. Therefore, I want to address all the cities, villages, towns, and regions: decentralization will be maintained," Groysman said.
