The deregulation will be effective until January 1, 2017.

"A draft resolution has been developed to analyze from a practical point of view the effectiveness of price regulation, which is governed by government resolution No. 1548 of 1996, and to take a decision on the expediency of such a regulation," First Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv said while presenting the resolution.

It is reported that the government deregulates prices on baby food, bread, flour, cereals, eggs, sunflower oil, meat and dairy products. Earlier, experts projected that the prices of these products were not expected to grow significantly. It is noted that Ukrainian producers have long found ways to circumvent regulations.
