New prosecutor general pledges to resolve Gongadze murder case

Shokin announced this in an interview with Channel 5.

After his appointment to the position, Shokin received proposals from quite a lot of people from Ukraine and abroad who wanted to assist in investigating in the Gongadze case.

"I'm sure the case will be brought to its logical end. Very many people both in Ukraine and abroad offered their help when they learnt about the return of our group. I don't want to disclose their names, but there are a lot of them. And they know much about this case," Shokin said.
