“Ukraine is facing unprecedented challenges. Its sovereignty has been undermined by one of its neighboring states in a way many in Europe believed impossible in the 21st century. The ensuing conflict in eastern Ukraine takes a large part of the political and financial efforts that should be aimed at the reform process. Unfortunately, we are still a good distance away from a peaceful, political solution,” the two ministers wrote in an article titled “Kyiv Must Act.”
