PM Groysman promises realistic tools to raise wages, salaries
Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has promised that the Cabinet of Ministers will develop a realistic mechanism to raise wages and pensions, which will correspond with the economic possibilities.
"Our task today is to reform the system of payment for work, so that every Ukrainian citizen gets a decent salary," he stated at a government meeting on Monday.
"I can say that the pension system also needs to be revamped. We should, within the possibilities of our economy and the Pension Fund, take all the necessary decisions so that pensions can increase in Ukraine. We've got some ideas about this – we're working on this issue. We'll surely put forth our proposals. These will be decisions that are far from populist ones," he added.
