"We have agreed to significantly broaden economic cooperation," Poroshenko said in his press statement following the negotiations in Kyiv on Tuesday.

"We have agreed to speed up negotiations on concluding the FTA agreement, which is the only mutually beneficial anti-crisis measure. I am sure that we will demonstrate progress in this issue soon," he said.

The parties also agreed to promptly conduct the next session of the Ukraine-Israel Joint Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation.

The Ukrainian president also invited Israeli investors to participate in large-scale privatization scheduled for 2016-2017 in Ukraine.

Poroshenko also briefed his Israeli counterpart on the development of relations with the European Union, inter alia, in the context of the visa-free regime and implementation of the Association and FTA Agreement.
