Starting from this date self-proclaimed Republic of Crimea is considered annexed to the RF.

President of the RF Vladimir Putin signed laws on annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol to the Russian Federation.

The signing ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere in the Kremlin, ITAR-TASS reports.

Putin signed the law on ratification of interstate treaty “On annexation of Crimea to the RF and creation of new subjects in the RF”, which was signed on March 18. Starting from this date the Republic of Crimea is considered annexed to the RF.

Moreover, the head of the state signed a federative constitutional law on annexation of Crimea to the RF and creation of new subjects – the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol  city, in the Russian Federation.
