US general says Russia capable of launching full-scale invasion of Ukraine

"The Russians have all of the necessary resources. I cannot draw any conclusions about their intentions on the basis of my data, but they have demonstrated the ability to do this and located their military hardware for this plan to be realized," the general said.

Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov earlier warned that Ukraine might face invasion by Russia in the near future.

"My abstract forecast is the following: Ukraine is on the threshold of the next stage of a full-scale invasion," Avakov said.
