The activities of the center will ensure coordination of activities of the agencies involved in the National Security and Defense of Ukraine in the framework of the Cyber Security Strategy of Ukraine. This will increase the effectiveness of public administration in the development and implementation of state policy in the field of cyber security, the press service said.
The legal basis for the development of the regulation was the decree of the President of Ukraine dated March 15, 2016 (No. 96), which put into effect the decision of National Security and Defense Council dated January 27, 2016 "On Cyber Security Strategy of Ukraine."

The members of the center are representatives of the security sector and defense of Ukraine in the field of cyber security are: first deputies and deputies of the Defense Minister, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Chairman of the SBU Security Service of Ukraine, Chairman of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, Chairman of the National Police of Ukraine, Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine (on consent), whose jurisdiction includes issues of cyber security, chief of the military intelligence, chief of the border guard service's intelligence department and head of the Special Communications and Information Protection Service.
