Ukraine's General Staff outlines demobilization priorities
Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko announces that exemplary military and those who need to be dismissed for family reasons will be demobilized first.
"Demobilization of the sixth wave. By decision of commanders, the best soldiers and those who have family reasons will be dismissed first," he tweeted on Wednesday.
Демобілізація 6 хвилі. За рішенням командирів найпершими будуть звільнені кращі військовослужбовці і ті, які мають складні сімейні обставини— Viktor Muzhenko (@VikMuzhenko) 5 октября 2016 г.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on September 26 signed a decree on demobilization of servicemen conscripted during the sixth draft wave.
According to Poroshenko, as soon as the last soldier of the "sixth wave" is demobilized, only contract servicemen will remain at the front line in Donbas, eastern Ukraine.
