"They used mainly mortars and small arms to fire at our positions along the line of contact in the ATO zone 32 times from midnight to 1800 Kyiv time on April 22," the ATO press center said.
The enemy twice shelled ATO forces from 120mm-caliber mortars near the town of Mayorsk in Donetsk region. During the day, Ukrainian troops near the village of Pisky were under heavy fire: four times from 120mm-caliber mortars and 122mm-caliber artillery systems, automatic grenade launchers, small arms and sniper rifles.
Militants also shelled four mines to attack Ukrainian troops near the village of Novhorodske, while the Ukrainian positions near the town of Avdiyivka were twice under fire from anti-aircraft systems.
In addition, illegal armed groups attacked the Ukrainian positions from a tank near the village of Leninske and from an 82mm-caliber mortar near the village of Kirove.
Near the village of Shyrokyne, the enemy used 120mm-caliber mortars, an anti-aircraft system, automatic grenade launchers and small arms to shell the Ukrainian troops.
In Luhansk region, most of attacks on ATO forces were registered near the village of Schastia. Militants from the so-called Luhansk People's Republic used mortars, an anti-tank missile system, automatic grenade launchers, small arms and sniper rifles to fire on the Ukrainian troops.
Four enemy drones were also seen near the Ukrainian-held city of Mariupol.
