"The situation was most tense in the Donetsk sector. Ukrainian soldiers have survived massive fire strikes from heavy weapons, rocket-propelled grenades, machine guns and small arms. They efficiently fired back, and the enemy had not the slightest chance of success," the report says.
The town of Avdiyivka remains an unassailable fortress for the enemy. During this period, the illegal armed groups opened fire 22 times on ATO forces there.
The militants also fired banned weapons on the Ukrainian positions near the villages of Luhanske, Zaitseve, Opytne and Pisky.
