"The situation was most tense near the towns of Avdiyivka, Maryinka, Krasnohorivka and the village of Taramchuk. The illegal armed groups fired 120mm and 82mm mortars there and launched over 100 mines. The enemy fired from infantry fighting vehicles and anti-tank missile systems in the direction of the villages of Sokilnyky and Berezove," the report says.
The militants also fired small caliber weapons on the Ukrainian fortified positions near the villages of Novotroyitske, Shyrokyne, Stanytsia Luhanska, Krymske, Hranitne, Luhanske, Butivka coal mine and the town of Schastia.
"The Ukrainian military had to return fire from small arms and rocket-propelled grenades 15 times in order to hold their positions," the headquarters said.
