"There were two killed in action (KIA) and eight wounded in action (WIA). These casualties occurred due to militant shelling from heavy weapons in the Donetsk sector," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Friday, a UNIAN correspondent reported.
As UNIAN reported earlier, combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 73 times in the past 24 hours.
