"According to our information, weapons have been already supplied to Ukraine," Putin said, asked about Russia's reaction to the possibility of the supplies of arms to Ukraine.
At the same time, Putin said that the supplies of weapons to Ukraine from the international community couldn’t change radically the situation in the Donbas.
"However, despite the amount of military aid provided to Ukraine, the situation in the Donbas will not change radically. In this case, the number of victims can only be increased," he said.
"The majority of the Ukrainian armed forces have no desire to participate in a fratricidal war. Meanwhile, the militants have a strong desire to defend their territory," Putin said.
According to Putin, the Ukrainian authorities are responsible for the continued military actions in the east of Ukraine.
"What is happening there is connected with the one thing - the official Ukrainian authorities for the third time have decided to start fighting with the use of the army. At first, Oleksandr Turchynov announced the beginning of the Anti-Terrorist Operation. After that, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko decided to resume hostilities, and now it has happened for a third time," Putin said.
