"The terrorists have left without water most of the towns in the occupied territories: Pervomaisk, Krasniy Luch, Stakhanov, Antratsyt, Alchevsk, Brianka and others," the report says.
According to Chairman of Luhansk regional military and civil administration George Tuka, a severe heat wave has been smothering the region for the third day in a row.
"By interrupting water [supplies], including to themselves, are dooming the population of the occupied territory to the epidemic. Neglecting the agreements, they continue to torture people. Now, the repairers arrived at the location where the shelling had hit the pump and will try to fix the damage. We need no epidemic here, neither in the [territory controlled by] Luhansk People’s Republic militant organization, nor in the Ukrainian-controlled areas," he said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on August 16, the Russian proxies damaged a gas pipeline in the village of Stanytsia Luhanska. In addition, power lines were damaged in some areas of Luhansk region.
