Over three days, from June 29 to July 1, the number of Russians' requests for tours to Turkey quadrupled, RBC reports citing Yandex officials.

At the same time, the interest in such destinations as Crimea and Sochi dropped threefold.

At the moment, the amount of requests for Turkey outnumbers those for all major Russian resorts by three times.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin had signed a decree lifting a ban on the sale of tours to Turkey. It was introduced after the November 2015 incident when the Turkish air force downed a Russian Su-24 bomber near the Turkish- Syrian border.
