Retail trade in Ukraine grew by 5.4% in January-August 2018 year-over-year (y-o-y).

However, the Ukrainian State Statistics Service has not provided statistics in absolute values yet.

Retail turnover increased most in Luhansk, Donetsk, Poltava, Zakarpattia, and Kyiv regions, by 27.9%, 13.3%, 10.8%, 10.2%, and 10%, respectively.

Retail trade in August 2018 alone rose by 5.7% against July 2018, while it grew by 7.5% from August 2017.

As UNIAN reported earlier, retail trade in Ukraine increased by 8.8% in comparable prices in 2017 from 2016, to UAH 816.553 billion ($29 billion).
