The National Bank of Ukraine on Tuesday evening strengthened the official hryvnia exchange rate by five kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 28.12 to the dollar.

The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for December 5:
US$100 costs UAH 2,812.5926 (UAH 2,817.2738 as of December 4);
EUR 100 costs UAH 3,208.8869 (UAH 3,192.5347 as of December 4);
On Tuesday, December 4, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market by the close of trade settled at UAH 28.03/28.07 to the dollar.
Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 31.93/31.97.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the reference value of the hryvnia exchange rate as of 12:00 was UAH 28.1458 to the dollar.
